  Family Worker (Red Hook & Flatbush)

Do you want to make a difference through assisting families? BumbleBeesRus, an 12 Month Early Childhood Education Program, is currently looking for a passionate, energetic, and motivated Family Worker at our Red Hook and Flatbush locations. Come join our family!

Overview The Family Worker develops mutually trusting relationships, acts as an advocate for families, and provides support services as needed. The Family Worker will assist families in determining their needs and in identifying and developing goals to meet those needs. Responsibilities and Duties – Enroll children/ families and maintain enrollment. – Must be knowledgeable of varied funding source eligibility requirements -Collaborate with center staff to ensure the classroom and center is an inviting and nurturing environment reflective of the community. -Support classroom team for breaks and absences in the classroom. -Work with families and Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure all necessary health forms are completed and updated Qualifications and Skills -Must have Associates Degree -Experience advocating for parents

Center Director (Prospect Heights)

We are currently looking for a passionate, energetic, and motivated Center Director at our Sunset Park location in Brooklyn. As a Center Director, you will be using your education and creativity to execute program requirements and develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Additional Responsibilities Include: • Facility Management: maintaining a healthy and safe learning environment according to Dept. of Health standards. • Staffing Management: supervising all center-based staff and providing support when needed, conducting performance reviews, working directly with teaching staff to create monthly calendars that are in line with the unit of study and theme of the month, ensuring appropriate coverage in all classrooms • Program Administration: overseeing the maintenance of all staff, substitute, and consultant files, ensuring compliance with all state and local licensing statutes, as well as the requirements within DOHMH’s Article 47. • Parental Communication and Involvement: creating meaningful yet appropriate relationships with all parents, providing families with assistance, familiarizing parents with the center and policies

Requirements: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (Master’s preferred) • A NYS Teaching Certification (Birth-2nd Grade) • 3 years classroom experience

Certified UPK Teacher

We are currently looking for passionate, energetic, and motivated certified lead UPK teachers. Come join our family!

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensuring the health and safety of the children in the class
  • Planning and implementing weekly lesson plans
  • Creating weekly newsletters
  • Utilizing Teaching Strategies Gold to document children’s progress

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have a BA in Early Childhood Education
  • Must have have NYS Teaching Certification (Birth – 2nd Grade)
